Willie Mae Watkins was born May 22, 1943 to Willie S. and Lula Mae Watkins. She departed this earthly life on March 17, 2025. She accepted Christ and united with First Church of God in Christ. She retired from McGehee Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie S. Watkins and Lula Mae Watkins; one son, Alfred Brooks; three sisters, Vivian Watkins, Mae Jewel Watkins, and Geneva Watkins; six brothers, Charley Walter Watkins, Genet Watkins, Willie B. Watkins, Johnny Lee Watkins, Mack Watkins Sr, and James Watkins; one grandson Qwun'Don K. Marks.
She leaves to cherish in her memories three sons, Jessie (Tiffany) Steen III of McGehee, AR, Michael (Tenisha) Steen, and Kenneth (Andrea) Steen of Houston, TX, and one daughter Pamela Steen of Pine Bluff, AR.; three brothers L.C. (Lutiaus) Watkins, Roy Watkins, and Tommy (Barbara) Watkins all of McGehee, AR; three sisters, Elizabeth Neal of Pine Bluff, AR, Bobbie Watkins of Atlanta, GA, and Edith Shepherd of Detroit, MI; two uncles, Joe Butler of Tillar, AR and Earnest Dowdy of San Bernadino, CA; one aunt Ruby Townsend of St. Louis, MO; Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
