Forever In Our Hearts: Marcus D. McNealey

Marcus Dwayne McNealey, age 41, passed away on July 5, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on December 30, 1984, in McGehee, Arkansas. Marcus lived in several places throughout his life, including Arkansas, Nebraska, and Kansas, touching the lives of many people along the way. He was known for his unique spirit, his curiosity, and the love he had for his family.

He earned his GED and worked throughout his life to provide for himself and those he cared about. One of Marcus's greatest passions was driving over-the-road (OTR) trucks. He loved the freedom of the open road, traveling to new places, and experiencing different parts of the country. Driving was more than a job to him—it was something that brought him a sense of purpose and adventure. Marcus also had a deep interest in history and genealogy. He enjoyed learning about the past, researching family history, and discovering where his ancestors came from. He took pride in understanding his roots and often shared what he learned with those around him.

Marcus was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Jean McNealey Sanders, who passed away on September 3, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Theophilus D McClellan; his grandmother, Millie McNealey; his children, Alannah McNealey, Marcus McNealey Jr., KyMariah McNealey, and David Brown; his sister, Daisha Sanders Morris (Amber); his brothers, Dante McClellan (Berdine) and Cameraon McClellan, His godmother Inez Walker, special Aunt Linda Urdy; along with numerous extended family members, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though Marcus's time on earth was far too short, the memories he created and the impact he made on the lives of those around him will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever. His love of family, passion for history, dedication to tracing his ancestry, and joy for life on the open road will be remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services for Marcus D. McNealey will be held at St. Peter AME 102 C.D. Willis Drive, McGehee, AR 71654 at 12:00 pm. Public viewing will be from 11:00 am to11:45 am, and repast will be in the St. Peter Fellowship Hall at the close of service.
