Sister Karen Green was born April 23, 1961 to May Wilma Green and Buster Perkins who preceded her in death. Karen was born in Arkansas City, where she attended school. Karen accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age at St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A.K. Childs.
Karen leaves to cherish a daughter: Capri Seals(Brian), Son: Daniel Green(Lexie) all of Arkansas City, and one sister: Monetta Willis of Arkansas City. Karen has 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Karen also had a niece: Jetonga Reddick, whom she loved and cherished as a daughter, and many other nieces and nephews.
Karen worked for many years at the Leisure Lodge Nursing Home in housekeeping. Karen also worked at Saint John Church as a housekeeper for over 20 years. Karen moved to Titusville, Florida for a short time and joined Antioch Christian Fellowship Baptist Church with her sister Dorothy Williams(cousin) under the leadership of Reverend Joe Robinson, where she attended faithfully every Sunday.
Karen loved to fish, listen to her music, and attend family gatherings. Due to her health fading she was no longer able to participate as she wanted to. Karen really enjoyed family time and family visits, which brought a smile to her face. I am very assured she is in a place of eternal rest, smiling down on her family and the people that she loved.
She confessed faith in Lord Jesus Christ Her Savior often. Karen will continue to live on in our memories daily, and she knew she was loved.
