A Celebration Of Life: Jerry Lee Hankins("Monk")

Jerry Lee Hankins("Monk"), age 64 of McGehee, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on March 5, 2026. He was born May 18, 1961 in Dermott, Arkansas to the Late Sam and Pearlie Hankins.

Jerry was a lifelong resident of McGehee and a proud graduate of McGehee High School. Known to many as "Monk", he was a familiar and respected presence throughout the community. Jerry dedicated 45 years of faithful service working for the city of McGehee. Through his many years of hard work and dedication, he built lasting friendships with his co-workers and earned the respect of many throughout the city. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of McGehee. 

Jerry enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved spending time outdoors, listening to music and being surrounded by family. His presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him, and he will always be remembered for his quiet nature, caring heart, and unwavering love for the people in his life.

Funeral services for Jerry Lee Hankins will be held at First Baptist Church, 312 West Seamans Drive, McGehee, AR 71654 at 10:00 am. Repast will be held at the Union Chapel Fellowship Hall following the comital ceremony at the church after the service.
